We recently stayed at a family-run hotel just a stone's throw away from the train station. It was incredibly convenient for us as we were travelling solo. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, ensured the doors were open beyond reception hours and even recommended some excellent dining options nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we had no issues with noise. Breakfast was excellent and the beds were very comfortable.
The only downside we found during our stay was the lack of coffee-making facilities in the room.

Very convenient location right opposite the train station. The hotel also has a lockup bike cage and parking. The room was clean, spacious, and had plenty of light. The breakfast was very good and the staff was excellent.
Not one thing.

Spent New Year's Eve in a nice, clean hotel. Very well located, close to the train station and a cycling route. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great selection of food and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the ability to store our bicycles safely overnight and appreciated the spacious rooms with lots of natural light.
The smoking policy in the restaurant ruined our meals as it was allowed inside, and the smell filled the rest of the property. It was uncomfortable for non-smokers like us. Another downside was that the interior design was dated, giving a retro and outdated sensation, which didn't match the high price. it was a good experience, but these two aspects made it slightly disappointing.

I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel here and had a very enjoyable experience. The location of the hotel is perfect, being just opposite the train station. This made it incredibly convenient for me to explore the area without any hassle. The service at this place was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. They even kept the reception open late for me, despite my late arrival. The room itself was fabulous, with comfortable amenities and a lovely sitting area. The flat-screen TV and soundproofed rooms added to the overall comfort.

During my Xmas stay, I loved the spacious room and the fact that it was clean and well-lit. The hotel's strategic location was remarkable as it was easy to get to and from the main street in town. I also enjoyed the decent breakfast buffet that was offered every morning.
Though the hotel appeared to be updated, the smoking policy was a major turn off for me. They allowed smoking in the restaurant which filled the entire hotel with the smoke smell making it unbearable.
